FAQ: DODI 1322.26
Q: How does this Instruction affect DoD professionals? A: OSD signed DoD Instruction 1322.26, in June 2006, which requires all DoD DL training materials be SCORM conformant and that they be registered in the ADL Registry. Furthermore, new procurements must first check the ADL-Registry to see if existing training can be reused or repurposed to save time and money. DoD Repository Managers who are ready to register their training materials can find general information on Instruction 1322.26 as well as step by step instructions at the DTIC Portal Q: Where can I get a copy of this Instruction? A: It is available at DTIC's website: http://www.dtic.mil/whs/directives/corres/html/132226.htm. Q: I'm working on the procurement of certain Air Force equipment, and part of the contract will be to provide training to the maintenance technicians. Is this DOD instruction related only to WEB-Based training? Will stand alone Computer Base Training (CBT) also be required to be SCORM conformant? What about Power Point Training Presentations? A: The Instruction does not address Computer Based Training nor that of power point training slides.
