Implementation Fest
Implementation Fest 2007

The Joint Advanced Distributing Learning Co-Laboratory (JADL) is proud to announce the annual JADL Implementation Fest. This year’s conference will be held 28 – 30 August 2007 at the Rosen Centre Hotel in Orlando, Florida.

The Event
On Tuesday 28 August, the conference will begin with several Warfighters sharing their training experiences and offering their perspective on future requirements for training and education. Next, will be presentations on the state of Advanced Distributed Learning (ADL) and its future direction. This year’s conference will have break-out sessions in the afternoon that focus on practical examples and lessons learned in Shareable Content Object Reference Model (SCORM), the ADL-Registry, and distributed content design and development. Finally, we will rejoin in the main conference room to hear presentations on learning outcomes using distributed learning and our new collaborative initiatives with the Department of Homeland Security.

On Wednesday 29 August, we plan to have two panel presentations that include representatives from each of the Services to discuss current Policy and Program Management and Education and Training Initiatives and Requirements. Again, we will have break-out sessions in the afternoon focused on new initiatives and practical examples for SCORM/S1000D, the ADL-Registry and current projects with our interagency partners. We will conclude our day with an update on Language and Culture Training and Education Initiatives and how ADL fits into the Global Information Grid.

On Thursday 30 August, we plan to have presentations focused on Media and Methods, a Prototype Capability Demonstration and Immersive Learning Environments (ILES) project. During our afternoon session we will be offering several Training Workshops for our attendees. These workshops include: Getting Started with SCORM and Working with the ADL-Registry.

Golf Tournament
We are happy to announce the third annual JADL Golf Tournament! Our JADL Implementation Fest 2007 attendees will have the opportunity to play the Rosen Shingle Creek Golf Course. We have arranged 5-tee times starting at 1300 on Monday 27 August. The cost will be $35 (plus tax) per person. Because of the reduced price, this will be a first come-first served opportunity.
